Final Post

Welcome to the end of Year 1 AC (After Championship). No more silly curses, no more excuses. Just Baseball. And let's remember this: the Sox have one of the highest payrolls in baseball and should always be an elite team.
Let's hope Schill and Foulke get healthy over the Winter, but Theo (sign him John Henry) has a lot of questions to answer.
JD: Dude, you're the man, you'll always be the man, but 4 years at $12M per. Come on, JD, no way with your OBP and weak throwing arm. If you can get it, God Bless you.
Manny: Sign him. He's the best right-handed hitter in Baseball.
Millar: Thanks Kevin, but it's over.
Mueller: I think it's time for the Greek God of Walks to take over at Third.
Arms Race: Papelbon and Hansen look good, but another starter and some studs in the bullpen are a must. Let's not forget, this year was the first time in over 20 years (1997 aside) that the Sox did not have an Ace (Clemens, Pedo, Schilling). In fact, one can argue that the 2005 edition of the Sox was different from past versions in that it was a team built to compete in the regular season, but in the Playoffs, we did not have the superior pitching as in years past. This will be Theo's biggest challenge.
See you in February, 2006 for Pitchers and Catchers.
